Printing Instructions

A short set of printing instructions so Eden’s Corner files print cleanly. Product PDFs have no crop marks and no cut lines. Print one page, one sheet, or the whole set.

Every download is a print-ready PDF. Choose the section that matches what you bought.

These printing instructions cover every format in the shop. A download receipt can point here too.

Shared notes

  • Print at 100% / actual size. Do not fit to page.
  • Use the file that matches your paper. Do not scale a Letter file onto A4 paper, or the other way around.
  • Ordinary printer paper is enough. Heavier paper is a preference.
  • Home printer or a local shop — both are fine.
  • Files are for personal use.

If a download will not open, write to Eden’s Corner and a fresh copy will be sent.

Card Decks

Prompt cards, affirmation cards, and movement cards all use the same 4 × 6 size. Most decks include two print files. These printing instructions apply to every card deck in the shop.

Which file

Single cards

One 4 × 6 in card per page. Use this for 4×6 paper, a photo lab, or one card at a time.

File name ends with _SingleCards.pdf.

4-up duplex sheets

Four cards per US Letter page. Fronts and backs are already interleaved.

File name ends with PrintLayout-Duplex_Letter.pdf.

If your download only has one of these files, print that one. A missing layout is not a broken deck.

How to print the 4-up file

  1. Open the Duplex Letter file.
  2. Set paper to US Letter.
  3. Choose 100% / actual size. Turn off “fit to page.”
  4. Print on both sides. Flip on the short edge.
  5. If fronts and backs do not line up, the flip was set to long edge. Reprint that sheet on short edge.

Reading order on each sheet is top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right. Backs are mirrored for a short-edge flip so each back lands behind its front. A partial last sheet only prints the slots that have a front card.

Cutting

The 4-up block sits inside ordinary Letter margins. A paper cutter or scissors is enough. Rounding the corners is optional. You can leave cards uncut and use a sheet as a page.

Paper

Ordinary printer paper is enough. Heavier card stock is a preference if you want a stiffer card. No particular printer, shop, or paper brand is required.

Print one card, one sheet, or the whole deck. Unused cards can stay in the file.

Journals

Guided journals print as full pages. These printing instructions are for every Letter + A4 journal.

Which file

  • US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) — filename ends with _Letter.pdf
  • A4 (210 × 297 mm) — filename ends with _A4.pdf

Do not scale a Letter file onto A4 paper, or the other way around. Print at 100% / actual size. Borderless is optional. Ordinary home margins are fine.

What to print

You do not need the whole journal on day one.

  • Print first: the title page if you want a cover, then one guided page.
  • Print next: the section you are actually sitting with.
  • Print later: closing pages, extra lined pages, or a reprint of a page you filled.

Missed pages in a printed stack are still just blank pages. A section you skip is still part of the journal.

Single-sided printing keeps writing from showing through. Double-sided is fine if you prefer a thinner stack.

Holding the pages

A folder, a clip, or a binder you already own is enough. Hole-punch after printing if you want pages in a ring binder. Leave the title page off if the pages are going into something that already has a cover.

You can write on a tablet instead. The files are ordinary PDFs. Printing is optional.

Trackers

Trackers print as full pages. These printing instructions are for every Letter + A4 tracker.

Which file

  • US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) — filename ends with _Letter.pdf
  • A4 (210 × 297 mm) — filename ends with _A4.pdf

If a product also includes extra reprint pages, they live in a matching Reprint Pack file — same size as the paper you chose.

What to print

You do not need the whole tracker on day one.

  • Print first: the title page if you want a cover, then one log page.
  • Print next: the overview or pattern page only if it feels useful.
  • Print later: extra copies of the pages that get used up.

Blank days stay blank. A gap in the stack is neutral.

Log pages are meant to be copied. Overview and pattern pages usually stay in the main set. If there is no reprint pack yet, print the same log page again from the main file. You can keep one current page on the desk and leave the rest unprinted.

Print at 100% / actual size.

What to print

Print a day, a week, or a single tool — not the whole file unless you want the stack.

  • Print first: How to Use if you want the map, then the page you will write on this week.
  • Print next: another day or week page when the first one is full.
  • Print later: overview or list pages only if they earn a place on the desk.

A page you never print is not a missed week. The file keeps.

Single-sided printing is the calmer default. Double-sided is fine if you want fewer sheets.

Print a fresh copy of the same day or week page when you want another week. Nothing on the page is tied to a calendar date.

Printer settings that stay the same

These printing instructions apply to journals, trackers, planners, and notebooks.

  • Scale: 100% / actual size. Turn off fit-to-page and shrink-to-fit.
  • Orientation: portrait.
  • Color: color is fine. Grayscale still reads if you want to save ink.
  • Borderless is optional. Ordinary home margins will not crop the writing lines.

If something looks off

Thin white bars at the top or bottom

The wrong size file was opened, or the printer scaled the page. Open the Letter or A4 file that matches your paper. Print at 100%.

Text running into the edge

Borderless was turned on. Ordinary margins are the calmer setting.

Fronts and backs not lining up (card decks)

The flip was set to long edge. Reprint that sheet on the short edge.

Cards look small on the page

That is the 4-up Letter file. Use SingleCards for full 4 × 6.

A pale background that prints a little darker than the screen

Normal for home ink. It still writes cleanly.

PDF will not open

Open the file in a desktop PDF reader rather than a browser window. If it still will not open, write to Eden’s Corner and a fresh copy will be sent.

FAQ

Do I print the whole file at once?

No. Print only what you need. One page is enough to start.

Can I write on a tablet instead?

Yes. The files are ordinary PDFs. Printing is optional.

Which paper weight do you recommend?

Ordinary printer paper is enough. Heavier paper is a preference, not a requirement. No particular brand is required.

Are these files for commercial use?

No. Personal use only. Print for yourself. Gift a printed copy if you want. Do not resell or upload the files.
