How to Print Your Card Deck

Every Eden’s Corner deck is delivered as a single PDF, pre-sized to print at exactly 4″ × 6″ — no cutting required. This page walks you through both ways to bring your cards to life: sending the file to a photo lab, or printing at home.

What You’re Working With

One file, already card-sized

Your download is one PDF with every card already sized to 4″ × 6″ — the title card, section dividers, prompt cards, and the card back design, all as individual pages. Because each page is already a finished card size, you don’t need to crop, trim, or cut anything. Just print and go.

Two Ways to Print

Choose your path (Recommended)

Photo Lab Printing

The easiest path to sturdy, professional-feel cards — no trimmer required.

  1. Upload your PDF to a photo printing service — Walgreens, CVS, Costco, or Shutterfly all accept 4×6 prints from a PDF or image file.
  2. Choose the 4×6 print size. Your file is already sized correctly, so no cropping or scaling is needed.
  3. Order matte or glossy finish — matte gives a soft, premium feel; glossy makes colors pop a little more.
  4. Pick up or wait for delivery. Most labs finish same-day or next-day.
Tip: ask if your local lab offers lamination — it adds durability if you’ll be handling your cards often.
DIY

Printing at Home

Paper: Cardstock (80–110 lb) is strongly recommended. 65 lb is the minimum for something that won’t feel flimsy.

Settings: Best/High Quality, Color (not grayscale), and Actual Size / 100% scale — never “Fit to Page.”

  1. Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) rather than a browser.
  2. Press Ctrl+P (Windows) or Cmd+P (Mac).
  3. Select 4×6″ paper if your printer supports it, or letter-size cardstock.
  4. Confirm scale is Actual Size / 100%.
  5. Print a test page first, then the rest.
Saving paper? Use “multiple pages per sheet” in your print dialog to fit several cards on one page, then trim with a paper trimmer, scissors, or a local print shop.
Optional

Laminating & Storing

Laminate

  • Print first, laminate second.
  • Use a matte pouch for a soft, premium feel, or glossy for more vibrant color.
  • Standard 5×7″ pouches fit one 4×6 card with room to seal.

Store

  • A small hinged box, linen pouch, or wooden card box works beautifully.
  • Skip rubber bands — they can warp cards over time. A ribbon or twine tie is gentler.
  • Keep your deck out of direct sunlight to preserve ink quality.

Common issues

Cards are printing smaller than expected

Your print scale isn’t set to 100%. Go back to print settings and choose Actual Size.

Colors look dull or washed out

Confirm you’re printing in Color mode at High/Best Quality, and check your ink levels.

Pages are printing out of order

Uncheck “Reverse Pages” in your print dialog if it’s enabled.

PDF won’t open or display correctly

Download and use Adobe Acrobat Reader (free at adobe.com) instead of opening the file in a browser.
